The many uses of Money Transfer
Posted by Krista in Money Transfer, Products on May 1st, 2010
I can honestly say I use NETELLER Money Transfer at least once a week, if not more. From payments to getaways to gifts, it’s hard to beat!
No more rubber cheques
When I invested in real estate with some friends, for example, I asked them to send me their share of the mortgage via NETELLER Money Transfer. We all know cheques can sometimes bounce. With NETELLER Money Transfer, I know the money is going straight into my NETELLER account.
Get paid in full
I also use it to settle tabs with my friends. For instance, I recently went on a spontaneous girl’s trip to the Okanogan. My one friend Samantha booked and paid for the accommodations, gas, food and wobbly pops. Once our hangovers subdued, we tallied up the total, split it evenly between the 4 of us, and sent NETELLER Money Transfers to Samantha. It worked out great! Who carries cash with them anymore? Not I.
Goodbye to gift wrap
Did I mention I have the best mom? She loves to spoil me. But I’m hard to shop for, so she sends me NETELLER Money Transfers so I can get my own gift. Which reminds me, it’s her birthday coming up, and I’ve got to think of something great for her!
Pay your dues
My outdoor soccer season is starting up again in a couple weeks so my team fees are due soon. I’ll be sending my coach a NETELLER Money Transfer for that too. This year we are pitching in extra to get team apparel. We are going to look sharp, play stronger, and hopefully move up to a higher division this year!
As you can see, my money is online and I would be lost without NETELLER Money Transfer. What do you use it for?

Yet another proud NETELLER hero
I was flattered to be asked to become a NETELLER brand hero. I signed up right away.
I’ve never been accused of being a high-maintenance girl, so getting my makeup and hair done for the photoshoot was a new experience. Plus, I’m far from a natural in front of the camera. It was cool to see Jackson – who 99% of the time designs our website and other fun concepts – flex his photography muscles. It was a ton of fun!

I was immediately recognized around the office. A lot of people approached me to either say hello or to get to know me a bit better. Many of them saw me on our Send Money website and various emails. It’s cool to realize that my face is being seen by thousands of people around the world, but I’m sorry I won’t be signing autographs anytime soon. Ha ha.
You may have already seen many of our other NETELLER brand heroes in Chris, Alan, Hiro, Jen and Pam, so I can’t wait to see more of my colleagues on our website. It’s pretty cool to see yourself in that light.
What’s your inner hero?

NETELLER explains remittance
Posted by Gary in Money Transfer, Products on December 30th, 2009
One aspect of Money Transfer that has many members scratching their heads is the process of remittance.
Remittance is the term that describes an international transfer initiated by migrant workers who are sending money home to their families. When home is a developing country, these funds can greatly impact the local economy.
How big an impact can it make? The World Bank tracks the worldwide movement of remittance money and in 2008 reported that $397 billion in remittance was paid. That’s a pretty astounding figure.
NETELLER supports top remittance countries
The World Bank has identified countries including the UK, India, Poland and China as the top countries receiving remittance payments. Many NETELLER members are already using Money Transfer to quickly and easily send money between these countries using their local currencies.
Pricey transfers
Some international money transfer services eat up a big chunk of the funds being sent home. Transfers from Germany to China are reportedly among the most expensive in the world. But members who use NETELLER’s Money Transfer service to send money between these countries are able to remit their funds without losing out on a lot of their hard-earned money.
Part of the reason why NETELLER is able to save its members money is that we support many different currencies. I mentioned transferring money from Germany to China earlier, so if you want to perform that type of transfer, we currently use the Euro, Chinese Yuan (Renminbi) as well as the Taiwanese Dollar, and we provide automatic currency conversion between these currencies.
Check out the handy online pricing comparison of services for the top country corridors provided by the World Bank. This is a great tool for consumers to compare the market price of remittance services worldwide.

NETELLER Money Transfer: an easier gift to send
Posted by Nicole in Money Transfer, Products on December 11th, 2009
The holiday routine has hit again. Year after year I rush to the store, buy what I hope is the perfect gift, quickly wrap it and then make the dreaded trip to the post office. I stand in the never-ending line, mentally calculating the shipping cost and invariably pay the premium price to avoid fretting over whether the package will reach its final destination on time.
There is an easier way
I’ve thought about sending gift cards to eliminate the hassle, but soon realized that is just as risky as sending cash in the mail. Yikes!
Thankfully, I came up with a foolproof plan for my gift-giving this year. I’m going to send my friends and family online cash presents, thanks to the NETELLER Money Transfer service.
Not only is it easy and secure, but I also avoid worrying about whether it will get lost in the mail, the high shipping costs and the horrendous line at the post office. As the sender I only pay a 1% transfer fee (minimum fee is 1 USD and maximum fee is 10 USD). What could be simpler?
If you’re looking for a reliable and quick way to give gifts, check out the NETELLER Money Transfer service.
Have you used the Money Transfer service yet? If so, tell us about it.
