An affiliate’s story

Today we have a guest blog from Thiago Pinto da Silva of Brazil, owner of www.flopcash.net and NETELLER affiliate. English version follows.

Obrigado NETELLER.

————————————————–

My history with NETELLER began 4 years ago. I knew this company when I started to play online poker and I needed a safe, fast and easy way to move money between the poker rooms where I used to play.

3 years ago, NETELLER released the Net+ Prepaid MasterCard® to customers. This tool was terrific, since the credit card operators of my country (Brazil) don’t allow deposits to gambling sites. When that nice black card arrived at my house, I discovered that I could pay any bill in restaurants, shops or bookstores with it, and the amount would be deducted from my NETELLER account. This was a very useful thing.

Beyond paying my bills, my Net+ Card is a more efficient way to withdraw my poker earnings in my local currency or from any ATM in the world.

2 years ago, I also started working as an affiliate to poker rooms. I had a lot of friends who liked to play poker and didn’t have a way to make deposits using a credit card. I started to refer all of them to NETELLER as the best and safest way to receive the credits that I was giving them and to transfer money so they could make their first deposit on poker rooms and later cash out their earnings without any complications.

I used NETELLER in those 2 years for all of my online transfers, bonus payments, transfers of money in the poker rooms I played in and to pay bills in restaurants with the Net+ Card.

4 months ago, I found the NETELLER affiliate program, which brought me closer with this company. I discovered that I can earn money doing what I always did: referring NETELLER. An account manager was designated to me, in my case Jennifer Ming, a very talented and helpful woman who assists me with everything I need to grow my site and keep bringing NETELLER’s name with me.

For every 100 friends I refer that make a deposit using NETELLER I can earn 200 EUR, and on top of that I get 20% of their first deposit value and my referred friends earn a lot of benefits too.

I think from all the benefits I get with NETELLER, the most important is that NETELLER is a serious, fast and helpful company, a big family in which I feel like a member and have made good friends. I recommend NETELLER to all that want to play online. You can trust in this serious company to treat their customers with a lot of dignity.

Really thanks NETELLER.

How to register and verify a bank account

Are you ready to take some funds out of your NETELLER eWallet? By far the easiest withdrawal option is our Net+ Prepaid Card. However, we also allow Extended members in many countries to withdraw their eWallet funds directly to their own personal bank account. All you need to do is register and verify your bank account with us. The following video gives a demonstration if how it’s done:

Accepted countries

Please check the list below to see if your country of residence is able to register a bank account.

Andorra Estonia Iceland Malta San Marino
Austria Finland Ireland Monaco Slovakia
Belgium France Italy Netherlands Slovenia
Bulgaria* Germany Latvia* Norway Spain
Cyprus Gibraltar Liechtenstein Poland Sweden
Czech Republic Greece Lithuania* Portugal Switzerland
Denmark Hungary Luxembourg Romania* United Kingdom

*note exceptions below

Gather your bank account information

If you are eligible to register your bank account, your next step will be to gather your personal bank account information:

  • IBAN (international bank account number)
  • Bank name
  • City and country
  • Currency of the account
  • Swift (BIC) code
  • Bank phone number (optional)

If you’re not sure about any of this information, please contact your local bank branch. Note that the name on your NETELLER account must match the name on your bank account.

Step 1: Registering

Once you have all your bank account information in hand, sign in to your account and look at the QuickLinks (top left). There you will see a link for “Register Bank Account.” Follow the steps as indicated. If you have all your bank account information handy, the process should be easy.

Step 2: Verifying

After you submit your bank account info, we will send a test deposit to that bank account. This step proves you have access to the account. The amount of the test deposit will be less than one whole unit of currency, for example .88 GBP. Test deposits can take up to 5 business days to show up in your bank account. Check your statement for the payee name NETELLER or NT Services. Once you know the test deposit amount, sign in to your eWallet and click “Verify Bank Account” under the QuickLinks menu. After you input the correct amount, your bank account is fully registered and linked to your eWallet!

To move money over to your newly-registered bank account, go to the “Withdrawal” tab and then click “Make Withdrawal Now.” You will see the option to move your eWallet funds to your own bank account via “Bank Transfer.”

Some exceptions

NETELLER is unfortunately unable to send test deposits to members with accounts in Bulgaria, Latvia, Lithuania and Romania. We also can’t send test deposits to members who have their eWallet currency in USD. In these cases, after completing Step 1 we ask you to email us. Scan or photograph a copy of your recent bank account statement, and send it to bankinfo@neteller.com. We will verify your bank account manually.

If you live in the Netherlands, you are able to register your bank account with us simply by completing an iDEAL deposit.

Certain members, while completing the upgrade process to an Extended eWallet, may be presented with the option to verify their identification by providing bank account information. If you are currently an Express member and wish to become Extended, start the upgrade process and see if this option is available to you. Doing so will result in registering your bank account and gaining an Extended eWallet at the same time.

If you need more information about registering and verifying a bank account, please refer to our FAQ pages.

NETELLER rewards its members in December

You know, I can’t begin to tell you just how excited I am for December to get here because it’s filled with rewards for all of our members.

Our cash-back program is here again, but with a bit of a twist. Between December 1 and 30,  NETELLER members will receive 0.5% cash back on all deposits to their NETELLER account that are then transferred to their favourite merchant. And the same perk applies to our VIPs, but with a sweetened offer of 1% cash back!

Be sure to check your email for the details.

Follow these 3 simple steps to cash in

  1. Initiate a deposit with NETELLER (credit card, bank wire, local bank deposit like giropay or Ukash)
  2. Transfer these new funds to your merchant
  3. Repeat

It’s as simple as that.

Will you take advantage of cash back this December?

Today’s post was written by Leanne. She is a Marketing Manager and works mainly on the VIP program.

Fund your eWallet and transfer money online

This post was written by Lea K. She is the Manager of Consumer Marketing and currently manages all customer marketing programs. This is the third in a series of posts where Lea will be talking about the benefits of using a NETELLER eWallet. You can read the first post here, and the second post here.

OK, so now you know what an eWallet is and why you’d need one. The next logical step is figuring out how you spend your hard-earned money.

Different ways to use your NETELLER account

By now you know that you can send money to multiple merchants, but I like to use this account as my “travel budget.” I simply transfer a little money each month into my NETELLER account to help save for my annual vacation. Since my account is in Euro (and I’m planning a trip to Greece next summer), I can save in the currency that I’ll be using on my trip (with no surprises or huge credit card bills to pay off post-vacation).

I’m planning on using my Net+ card to pay for hotels while in Greece and I can easily access funds at local ATMs that bear the MasterCard® symbol.

Control your spending with Net+

You can use your Net+ card to pay anywhere MasterCard is accepted. It’s quick and easy to do. Plus, consider the money in your NETELLER eWallet account your “discretionary” funds. It’s a great way to control your spending. It’s also private. No statements are sent to your home address. This includes your Net+ usage too so there’s no paper trail of your shopping habits. Go ahead and buy those shoes in every colour!

Send money around the world

I also send money to family. My niece, who lives in Mexico, is going to be 1 year old in December, but since I can’t be there I’m sending her money (via her Dad of course) for her birthday. This is the quickest, safest and cheapest way I’ve found to send her cash for her birthday.

Now that you know all about the NETELLER eWallet, I’d love to hear how will you use it.

It’s better than a credit card

This post was written by Lea K. She is the Manager of Consumer Marketing and currently manages all customer marketing programs. This is the 2nd in a series of posts where Lea will be talking about the benefits of using a NETELLER eWallet. You can read the 1st post here.

I already told you the elevator ride version of what a NETELLER eWallet is all about. But sometimes I give the dinner party version too.

Once people hear that it’s more than just a credit card alternative, they start getting interested. They want to know how they get money into their eWallet and that’s when I put my money hat on and tell them more about it.

You can load money into your eWallet in a variety of ways – the choice is yours:

  1. Deposit using a local bank deposit method like Poli (if you’re from the UK or Australia), giropay (if you’re in Germany)  or iDEAL (if you’re in the Netherlands). You can also use your debit or credit card.
  2. Transfer money into your eWallet from a merchant’s site. Simply visit their cashout page and select NETELLER as the withdrawal option.
  3. Receive money from someone through NETELLER Money Transfer.

Many of these options are free to use and we also have frequent “free deposit” promotions which are a great opportunity to load more funds into your eWallet.

Not only do we give you choice in loading your account, we offer dozens of currency options too, which can reduce your overall foreign exchange costs.

Currency choice and foreign exchange fees

Your eWallet lets you transact in multiple currencies because in the online world there are no borders. For instance, even if you live in the UK, you can easily transact online in US Dollars (USD). Just get a USD NETELLER account and once you have loaded your eWallet, you can move your funds to as many different merchants as you’d like without worrying about paying a foreign exchange (FX) fee every time (provided the merchant you deal with transacts in that currency or whatever your currency of choice is). In the long run, you’ll save big on FX fees.

Send money online to more than 180 countries with NETELLER

Today’s post was written by Gary. Before moving into his current role as Business Development Manager, Gary helped to develop NETELLER’s online Money Transfer service as the Marketing Manager for that program. This is a follow-up to his first blog post, which you can read here.

Money TransferI’ve already talked about using NETELLER’s Money Transfer service to save time and money while sending birthday money to my cousin Petra in Vienna.

But I could have just as easily talked about using it to send money to my manager Sona while she was visiting family in India to pick up gold jewelry and Pashmina shawls for my wife. Or I could have told you about the time I got paid back by Tom in our UK office after he lost a friendly bet we made about sales performance.

In fact, since Money Transfer allows members to send and receive money almost anywhere in the world, I could have described hundreds of ways of using Money Transfer.

How will you use it?

As long as you reside in one of the more than 180 serviced countries, you can start taking advantage of low cost money transfers around the world. Simply sign up for a free NETELLER account to start sending money to anyone in any of our supported countries.

Choose your currency

You didn’t think we’d offer a service in 180 countries and then skimp on the currencies, did you? Money Transfer provides automatic currency exchange between 20 currencies including US dollars, British Pounds, Chinese Renminbi, Indian Rupee, and the Euro. For a complete list of currencies, check out the Money Transfer website at sendmoney.neteller.com.

Using multiple currencies

When you open an account with NETELLER, you must specify which currency you wish to use. What happens if you want to send or receive funds in a different currency than your account is associated with? NETELLER will automatically convert the funds in to the destination currency, making sending and receiving different currencies a snap.

Let us know where you are sending money or learn more by visiting sendmoney.neteller.com.
