NETELLER launches Ukash in 9 countries
Today’s post was written by Suzanne. She is the Marketing Program Manager for member communications and promotions on our Brand and Group Marketing team and she’s got some exciting stuff brewing for November so stay tuned.
For years NETELLER members residing in Ireland, Spain and the United Kingdom have been instantly depositing into their NETELLER accounts using Ukash. Today we have expanded our offering of this great deposit option to more countries. Members in the following countries can now instantly and conveniently deposit using Ukash:
- Austria
- Belgium
- Finland
- France
- Germany
- Italy
- Netherlands
- Portugal
- Greece
Depositing with Ukash is simple. Follow these steps and you’ll have instant access to your funds:
Step 1: Purchase a Ukash voucher
Ukash offers a number of ways to purchase vouchers. Click here to choose your preferred method.
Step 2: Sign in to your account
Step 3: Choose Ukash as your deposit method
Under the deposit tab in your account select “Ukash,” then select “Continue”.
Step 4: Enter the amount of your deposit
Important: An 8% processing fee will be applied to your deposit amount so be sure to take this into account if you are cashing the entire balance of your Ukash voucher. For example, if you purchase a Ukash voucher in the amount of 100 GBP, you will enter 92.59 GBP in the “Amount” field. A 7.41 GBP processing fee will be added to your deposit — your final deposit will therefore total 100 GBP. If you choose to deposit only a portion of your voucher value you will receive a new voucher in the amount of the remaining balance in an email addressed from NETBANX.
Step 5: Confirm your deposit
The amount you enter in the “Total withdrawal from Ukash” field should not exceed the value of your Ukash voucher. If it does exceed the value, select “Change Details” and re-enter the proper amount.
Step 6: Enter your Ukash voucher details
Enter the following details and select the “Pay Now” button:
- Email address
- Voucher number
- Voucher value
You’ve just completed the deposit process and the funds are in your account. Now you’re free to securely and privately spend anywhere online.

Net+ wins “Best New Prepaid Card Product Launch” award
On June 18, Net+ won the “Best New Prepaid Card Product Launch” award at the Cards & Payments Europe 2009 Awards held in Prague. Must admit…I wish I had been there with our representative to accept the award. To hear firsthand that others in the industry think our cards are as great as we do would have been fantastic. It makes some of those late nights spent working on the product launch fade into the background—well almost.
You can find out all about this award in our corporate press release. Here’s a portion from it…
The Cards & Payments Europe Awards, which are open to UK and international payment card issuers and acquirers, recognise best practice in the card payment industry. The Card & Payments Europe Awards are part of Europe’s leading cards and payments conference and expo held in Prague on 18/19 June 2009.
To qualify, the card had to have significant features, marketing strategies or programmes, be new to the issuer, market or both, and have acquired a significant number of new accounts in the six months following its launch. The winners are chosen by an independent judging panel, which comprises representatives from the payment card organisations and industry commentators and experts from across the globe.
But awards aren’t as important to us as knowing that you like them! Sign in to your NETELLER account, get a Net+ card, and tell us what you think.
NETELLER lifts IP blocking for members
Today’s post was written by Leanne. She is a Marketing Manager. Leanne works mostly on the VIP program and supports several other projects (like removing IP blocking).
When I’m travelling, I like to know that I can access my accounts at all times. Whether it’s my bank account, credit cards or NETELLER account, it puts my mind at ease to know that my finances are right at my fingertips should I need to check up on anything.
As of today, NETELLER is giving me the control I crave. In the past, travelling with a NETELLER account meant explaining when you were leaving, coming back, etc. or risk having your account locked out. It was one more thing to worry about before leaving the country and I am happy to tell you, it’s all in the past!
After listening to your requests to fix this issue, we’ve done it. Starting now, you’ll be able to log into your NETELLER account from anywhere in the world. Of course, there are some limitations (check the small print), but for the most part, travelling issues are a thing of the past.
In a different country right now? Test it out! Sign in to your NETELLER account to begin sending your secure payments from the other side of the world. Then leave a comment to tell us how it goes.
Small print:
- No members can sign up or sign in from an unsupported country (click here for a list of countries NETELLER offers service in).
- No members can sign up or sign in from the US or its protectorates.
- No members can sign up from Israel or Turkey.
- No members can sign in from Israel or Turkey unless they are a resident of that country.
- No members can sign up or sign in from Canada except Canadians.
- No members can sign up or sign in from Macao except residents of Macao.
- No members can sign up or sign in from Hong Kong except residents of Hong Kong.
Net+ subtracts the dormancy fee
As I sit at my desk crafting witticisms about NETELLER’s payment solutions, I sometimes fancy myself an expert. As an employee, I figure I really know this stuff inside and out – until, that is, I start talking to people like you. As a member, you know better than anyone else what works and what needs work. And when you talk, we listen.
For instance, we thought our Net+ card was the cat’s meow. With instant cash withdrawals, free point-of-sale, and automatic pre-loading so your money’s on hand as soon as it’s deposited, we knew we had a winner on our hands.
The trouble was getting it into your hands. We didn’t foresee the card’s monthly dormancy fee stopping many of you from applying for it. You let us know it was a deal-breaker, so we scrapped it.
Nothing stopping you now
With the 2 EUR (or equivalent currency) monthly charge for non-usage gone, and no application fees*, you can use your card as much or as little as you want. Get Net+ today and expand the areas of your expertise. We want to hear what you think about it.
*The Net+ Card Terms and Conditions Fee Summary has been updated to reflect this fee removal.
Interview with Andrew Gilchrist
As we are just in the infancy stages of blogging and are still in the process of figuring out what you will be interested in, I thought I’d post an interview with one of our executives. If there is something that you would like to learn about or are unsure of please feel free to send us a message through our contact form.
The interview was done by Ecommerce Journal with Andrew Gilchrist our Vice President, Corporate Development & Communications. This is a high level overview of some of our history and what’s in store for the future.
Here’s a portion of the interview:
Question: Last year you changed the name of the company [NETELLER Group to NEOVIA Financial]. Why did the company management decide to do it?
Andrew Gilchrist: 2008 was a transformational year for NEOVIA Financial. The change of corporate name to NEOVIA was a natural evolution for the Group to better reflect the Group’s strong underlying full-suite branded gateway, e-wallet and card programme businesses. 2008 also saw the launch of the Group’s new Net+ MasterCard® products, including an “iron-clad” single use software MasterCard® that prevents identity fraud for online shopping.
