1. Before you use this option for the first time your bank will require you to register the NETELLER-designated bank account as your “Registered Payee”. It usually takes 3 working days for the bank to complete the registration. Depending on your bank, you may be asked to:

Enter the beneficiary bank/branch info directly.

OR

Select from a list of bank/branch available. Be sure to select the correct bank/branch because some banks may only show a partial bank/branch address (e.g. “Sakhar Bhavan, Mumbai” instead of “Sakhar Bhavan, Nariman Point, Mumbai”).

2. Once the registration is complete, initiate a 3rd party transfer of funds from your bank account to the payee account (NETELLER). When the transaction is complete you will see a confirmation page on your screen.

3. Take a screen capture of the confirmation page and email it to INRdeposits@neteller.com. Provide your 12-digit NETELLER account ID in the “message/subject” field of your email

Depositing with the India Local Bank Deposit option – Part 1: Initiating the transaction

We’ve had a great conversation with you on our recent blog entry “NETELLER’s new deposit option for India” which has made us realize that there are still quite a few unanswered questions with our new deposit option. Here’s hoping this clarifies things for you, and let us know in the comments if you still have questions or if you think there’s anything else we can do to make it easier.

Step 1: Initiating your Local Bank Deposit transaction

Before going to the bank to deposit the funds, you will need to notify NETELLER of the transaction. You can do this by initiating a Local Bank Deposit in your account. Sign in to your NETELLER account and choose the Deposit tab. Select “Make a deposit” beside the Local Bank option.

choosing the Local Bank Deposit option

Step 2: Choosing your country, currency and amount

The “Local Bank Transfer for India” deposit option only supports deposits in Indian Rupee (INR) from a bank in India so you must select the country India and the currency INR. If your account currency is not INR, please enter the amount as if you were depositing in your wallet currency (e.g. 100 if your account is in USD, not 5,035 or so INR) and we will convert the amount into INR in the next step.

Step 1 _ wallet currency is USD and bank acc currency in INR

Step 3: Confirm your transaction

Verify the deposit details. If your account is in a currency other than INR, you will see the converted INR amount beside “Total deposit amount”. Ensure you deposit this exact amount when you make your deposit to the designated NETELLER account.

Step 2 _ wallet currency is USD and bank acc currency in INR

Step 4: Complete the transaction

Make note of the following information for the bank that you choose:
• Bank account holder/beneficiary
• Bank address (for e-banking, NEFT and RTGS)
• Bank account number
• Deposit amount (Ensure this is the exact amount indicated in your transaction details)

Step 4- CompleteNov18

You are now ready to proceed to the next step – Depositing at a bank.

NETELLER gives more than a great online money transfer service

Today’s post was written by Leanne. She is a Marketing Manager and works mainly on the VIP program. She’s also running lots of other programs and promotions lately like NETPoints.

It’s great to be a NETELLER member. Especially because we have NETPoints.

For every 1 USD you transfer to your favorite sites, you’re awarded 10 NETPoints—so easy! And you can use those NETPoints towards weekly, biweekly and monthly draws. Check it out.

It’s too bad employees can’t win. You better believe I’d be entering absolutely every contest. Although, I’m pretty sure that would look bad. VIP Marketing Manager wins…again. Lucky for you I can’t play.

Have any ideas for what you want to do with your NETPoints? Let us know in the comments.

Upgrading to an Extended account: Submitting identity documents

In order to get all the perks of an Extended account we are required to have you submit identity verification documents. This can be a tricky process and there are a lot of questions surrounding it. So we made a video starring our very own Directors of Identity Services and Brand & Marketing — Mike and Sona.

Here’s a quick recap of Sona and Mike’s tips for submitting documents:

When submitting a scanned image or digital photograph of your driver’s license, identity card or passport, ensure:

  • All four corners are visible
  • All information is in focus
  • The scan or photo is in colour
  • The document is not expired

When submitting a scanned image or digital photograph of your utility bill, tax bill or government agency letter, ensure:

  • The bill/letter has been issued within the last 3 months
  • The address is current
  • All information is in focus

The following bills are not accepted:

  • Letters from family/friends
  • Mobile phone or internet bills

If you follow these tips, you should have no problems getting your documents approved. If any issues arise, a NETELLER agent is always happy to help you out. Just click the “Email us” link in your account, send a quick message with your question and an agent will either call or email you back.

Transferring money to and from a merchant

One of our most frequently asked questions is “How do I transfer to and from a merchant?” It is a simple process and while every merchant is different they all follow similar steps to transfer money.

As I learned all about transferring to and from merchants, I had many eureka moments while learning to transfer money. So let me pass along my insights to help you transfer your money.

There are 2 secure options for transferring money to/from merchants:

  1. Transfer money to/from merchants directly from the merchant site
  2. Transfer money from your NETELLER account and fill in the “Merchant Transfer Code”

The easiest way to transfer money to or from a merchant site is start at the merchant site—not in my NETELLER account, like I originally thought.

Below are guidelines, because as I mentioned no two merchants are alike.

First transfer option

Transfer money to a merchant from your NETELLER account:

  1. Log in to your account at the merchant website.
  2. Go to the “cashier” page. This may also read “deposit funds” or “bank”.
  3. The following page should provide you with a list of deposit methods. Choose NETELLER to continue to the transfer request form.
  4. Enter the following required information: NETELLER Account ID number, NETELLER Secure ID number and transfer.
  5. You will receive confirmation from the merchant once you have completed the transfer form.

The funds will be directed from your NETELLER account into your merchant account immediately and you will have instant access the funds.

Transfer from the merchant to your NETELLER account:

  1. Log in to your account at the merchant website
  2. Choose “withdraw” or “cash out”
  3. Complete the transfer form with the required information: NETELLER Account ID, NETELLER Secure ID and amount to transfer
  4. The transfer may or may not be instant and this is dependent on the merchant.

Second transfer option

Transfer to a merchant from within your NETELLER account:

  1. Sign in to your NETELLER account
  2. Select the “Transfer” tab at the top of the account page
  3. Select “Transfer Funds”
  4. transferone

  5. Enter the “Merchant Transfer Code”—you can obtain this from a representative from the merchant website
  6. Select the “continue” button

Upgrading to a NETELLER Extended account

I’m a strong contender in the extreme sport of online shopping. I’ve discovered a ton of great stuff on some pretty sketchy websites throughout my online shopping adventures. But enter my credit card information? I’m not so sure! I’ve had this conversation with myself many times and to avoid the whole internal conflict, I’ve become a very avid user of the Net+ Virtual Prepaid MasterCard®.

There’s just one catch—you’ve got to have an Extended account to download the virtual card. And to become an Extended member you’ve got to upgrade your account. Not to worry, this process is quite straightforward—as long as you follow the instructions.

There are 4 steps to the upgrade:

Step 1

a. Sign in to your NETELLER account.
b. Select the “Account” tab.
c. Select “Upgrade to Extended” or “Upgrade Account” in the QuickLinks menu.

step-1

Step 2

If you haven’t already, you need to accept the “Exception Warning”. You may have completed this when you signed up your account. If so, you’ll automatically skip to step 3. If not, the link is right there for you:

exception-warning

Step 3

This is where you’ll need to do a bit of legwork.

You need to verify your identity. There are two ways to do this: provide documents or register and verify your bank account.

You may not be eligible for both options, so be sure to look closely at your instructions. The option you are eligible for will be displayed to you.

If you have the choice between the two, I would personally suggest registering your bank account; it’s faster and requires less effort on your part. Also, you’ll be able to deposit and withdraw directly to and from the bank account you register.

Once you’ve registered and verified your bank account, you can proceed to step 4.

If you’ve gone down the path of providing documents, it may take a few days for them to be processed once you’ve submitted them but don’t worry, the hard part is now over. A NETELLER agent will email you to:

  • Approve your documents. Or:
  • Request re-submission of documents.

Step 4

This last step is as easy as pie. You will receive a call from a NETELLER agent to confirm all of the information you provided. The call will be quick and won’t take up too much of your time.

If you’re eager to get started right away, feel free to contact us yourself once your documents have been approved.

Note: If you’ve already confirmed your information at some point in your lifetime with us, you will skip this step, receive an email and your account will be upgraded when your documents are approved.

You’ve now officially upgraded your account!

Next time you sign into your account, you’ll find your status has been updated to Extended.

Now you’re ready to withdraw, transfer, deposit or shop to your heart’s content.

Depositing funds in your NETELLER account

You have just signed up a NETELLER account and now what? I don’t know about you, but when I first visit a new website, my first reaction is… Huh? It happens to the best of us.

First thing’s first! Depositing funds into your NETELLER account is the crucial first step to pay and play. It’s just as easy as it was to sign up for your NETELLER account. Basically, if you a have a credit card or debit card, you can instantly deposit/upload funds into you account. And if you don’t mind waiting a little longer, you can deposit for free by International Bank Transfer or Local Bank Deposit. I like the instant option myself as patience was not a virtue I was born with.

Step One
Sign in to your account at www.neteller.com and click on the “Deposit” tab.

Step Two
Choose your preferred deposit option from the following:
• Debit/Credit card (instant)
• Local Bank Deposit (2-5 Business Days)
• International Bank Transfer (2-5 Business Days)

Tip: Check out the deposit options to figure out the best one for you. Every country has different deposit options regarding clearing times and fees.

For additional information on each option, just click the “Learn More” link. All options are safe and secure.

Step Three
Once you’ve chosen the deposit option you would like to use, click “Make a deposit”. Fill in the required fields and click “Continue.”

customer-supportIt will take several seconds to process the request.

TIP: If you are having problems or looking for help, under the account tab, on the bottom left hand is customer support.

What are your favourite deposit options?

Getting a NETELLER account

I just started at NETELLER a couple of months ago and signed up for an account after I was hired. It was pretty easy, but we recently updated the process so I want to give you an idea of what it looks like now.

It takes two steps to get a (free) account and you don’t have to fill in a crazy long form. I know that I don’t have the attention span to do that.

To create your NETELLER account, you must go to www.neteller.com and click on the “Join now” button.

Next, you will need to fill in the sign-up form.

Step One
Step One Sign up
Step Two

Step Two Sign up Process

That’s it. You’re done.

We will instantly display your account information:
a.    Your account ID
b.    Your secure ID

Step Three Sign up Process

And finally, click on the “Go to my account” button. That’s it and you are in!

You will have opened up a NETELLER Express account. Fund your account and you’re ready to go.

TIP: Please keep your information and your password in a safe place for future reference because you will need it to sign in. Don’t worry if you accidentally closed the window, because there is a confirmation email on its way with the account information.
