How to protect yourself
The first step to protecting yourself against malware is being online-smart. Don’t ever click, visit, or download any link, website or program that you may be unsure of.
Secondly, ensure that your computer is up to date with the latest anti-virus and anti-malware software. As well, update your computer’s operating system and software on a regular basis. Use strong passwords, never use the same password for multiple uses or share your password. Keep your firewall on and finally - don’t be tricked into downloading malware. Always know what you’re downloading.
